Let's try to TAKE A WALK
MAYBE YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK!
It’s been a couple of days since I last went out if not wor work or going to the groceries.
I’ve been working a lot, all small things that needed to be done, but whenever I come back from abroad it’s like that a lot of tasks that were postponed… even the laundry or mopping the floor.
And I do move from one task to another, rushing from one tab to another, one project to another, without ever stopping in between.
And I can feel it’s not good.
I’m doing many things at once: applying for a master’s, taking care of communication for different projects, doing reimbursements for another one, planning events, and preparing a speech I’ll give soon in Ukraine (I’ll tell you more about that next week).
And meanwhile, I’m forgetting the simplest thing — like doing yoga, or going for a walk.
Sometimes I get stuck in the idea that if I take an hour off…
… everything will fall apart.
But it won’t. Nothing collapses if you go out and walk for a bit.
What actually falls apart is the mind when you don’t.
So this issue of Let’s try is late because I’ve been busy trying to do everything at the same time. It’s short because I’ll soon go for a walk :P
But I’m writing it now because I need to remind myself that stopping — even just for a walk — is part of doing things, too.
There’s much to talk about on how and why we all feel like this often in our society, but I want to keep it simple.
Since it’s so short, I feel I can suggest you have at least one minute more than you expected when you opened this newsletter, so open the window and look out, or go for a walk or drink a coffee (I even forgot to drink mine today).
Well if you’d like send me a dm on instagram with a picture of your walk! I hope you enjoy this break, you deserve it!
